It's a Girl! Princess. Kate Delivers Healthy Baby Girl!!!!!

Proud father Prince William joined Kate at the entrance of the Lindo Wing just after 6pm. The delighted parents waved to well-wishers who had spent hours camped outside and smiled for photographers.

They returned inside but reappeared minutes later with their daughter in a car seat. William carried her to his Range Rover and placed her in the back seat.

The happy couple made no comment before driving away. The family headed to Kensington Palace so the royal baby could spend her first night at home.

It was less than 10 hours after the birth but Kate, wearing a yellow top, white skirt and high-heeled shoes, looked happy and healthy.

THE Duchess of Cambridge gave birth to a little girl today weighing 8lbs 3oz. Clarence House announced the birth, at 8.34am this morning, to the world in a series of tweets and said that both the Duchess of Cambridge and her baby are "doing well".

The Queen, Prince Charles and Prince Harry have already been informed that the baby is a girl, as have Kate's parents Carole and Michael. The official royal account tweeted: "Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a daughter at 8.34am.
