Prince Harry Visits Avondale House in Newcastle

Prince Harry met several ex-serviceman during his tour of the residential buildings In Newcastle, the main building is called Avondale House and it contains 34 one-bedroom flats, along with leisure facilities, training and IT services for people living on site.
Recently refurbished, more than £1 million has been spent on giving the buildings a makeover and improving the services on offer for veterans, while in Liverpool, a new property, the £907m Speke House, has just been completed.
Speaking ahead of the visit, Major Ken McMillan, a Launchpad trustee and founder, told theNorthern Echo: 'We are delighted that Prince Harry is coming to Launchpad and the Byker Estate to meet our veterans undergoing transition.
'He will also get a good insight to our work when he speaks to the staff and members of other organisations who do so much to support Launchpad. The veterans are super-excited about meeting him and about being given the chance to share their stories with him.' Click link for full post from The Daily Mail.
