The Duchess of Cambridge, a keen sailor in her youth, enthusiastically accepted an offer yesterday (tues) from four times gold medal winner Sir Ben Ainslie to teach the future King how to sail when he is old enough to learn.

Sir Ben, the most successful sailor in Olympic history with four gold medals and a silver for Great Britain at five consecutive Games between 1996 and 2012, offered to take George out in an Optimist dinghy, the vessel in which hundreds of thousands of children as young as six have learned to sail all over the world.
